Out to unsettle her opponent in final
Regarding the behaviour of the ex-US Open tennis women’s champion, do American champions really think they are above all others?
Serena Williams, one of the greatest champions of all time, lost her game and demeanour from her first step on court in this year’s final.
Naomi Osaka, the newest kid on the block, beat her from the first set played.
Instead of concentrating on the game and keeping her posture, Williams started fighting with the umpire, blaming him for her coach coaching her.
She said she had a daughter and she was not a cheater, but yet the daughter was born because of cheating before marriage as she claims to be a Jehovah's Witness.
To add fuel to the fire she smashed her racket, calling the umpire a thief and, to crown it all, he must apologise to her.
How arrogant can you become when losing?
I think it all started with her breaking dress codes wearing catsuits and these funny tutus she wore.
I pity her husband as her behaviour borders on abuse – when you are in the wrong and expect an apology and a worldwide apology from the umpire who's not at fault.
Williams’s behaviour was despicable and a poor example for upcoming female players. The winner kept her composure and I think Williams did this to unsettle Osaka, but to no avail.
The only logic is for Williams to retire or play with John McEnroe.
