Sophakama must clip Eagles’ wings after loss

Sophakama will be looking to bounce back from their 4-2 defeat to title contenders City Lads in the Sasol Women’s League when they play away to Bashee Eagles on Saturday, at the Dutywa Stadium (3pm).

Before the loss to Lads, the Zwide side were unbeaten in four matches. Now they will look to get back to winning.

Sophakama are seventh on the log with 32 points from 22 games.

Meanwhile, Lads will want to extend their winning form when they play Ayakha Stars.

The New Brighton side, chasing for league honours, are unbeaten in eight matches.

They are second on the log with 57 points from 20 games and trail log leaders Thunderbir­ds by a point.

City have lost only one match this season, going down 1-0 to Thunderbir­ds.

League rookies Highbury are 14th on the log with 13 points from 20 games.
