We need townships lit to prevent crime

-

As a community we seek to fight crime and maintain order, so we call upon our municipality to help us with lights in our community.

For us to promote safety, peace and harmony, we need lights.

When we have lights they become a hindrance for criminals to operate.

Criminals always want to operate in darkness.

Allow me to call upon our society to please put lights in front of their houses.

An observation I have made is most houses have lights at the back of their houses, which I find strange.

My people, please let us also make sure that we have lights at the front.

We need to make sure that our kasi is electrified in fighting against crime.

The SAPS and metro police need to come on board as well, as we fight crime.

We need visibility of the police and must make sure the lights are on.

When you go to town the lights are on all the time.

Black people in the township are treated like secondclass citizen and yet they pay for their services.

The municipal electrical and energy staff must please finish up their work, not do half a job.

It is not acceptable that when you go around ekasi there are open holes, for instance in Ntshekisa Road next to Shoprite that has been unattended to for far too long.

Our people don’t feel safe at all. Mncedisi Mvinjelwa New Brighton, Port Elizabeth
