Locally Yours market is back

-

One of Port Elizabeth’s rapidly growing markets, Locally Yours, will hold its Locally Yours Christmas Market at the Tramways Building in Lower Valley Road from Monday to Wednesday.

“Our focus is on owner-operated or handmade products by local entrepreneurs. Our definition of ‘handmade’ is just that!” market co-ordinator Annelize Botha said in describing the market.

She said it started with 10 artisans in December 2017 and had now grown to a local team of 140 “handmade entrepreneurs who take turns to surprise and delight the market attendees with our products, produce, art, entertainment and craftsmanship”.

“We all reside in the beautiful Eastern Cape region, and are proud of this creative platform that we have created to boost small businesses and empowerment programmes.

“We have a wide variety of crafts, delicious food, fresh produce, plants and beverages at our market, and our entertainment is in the form of ‘flash mobs’ that focus on talented youngsters based in the area.”

with Kelly le Roux scheduled to sing over lunchtime and Edward Allen in the late afternoon until 8pm.

The market also has a charity angle with the beneficiary the Animal Anti-Cruelty League, “and we have collection tins at all our stalls to show our support for this very important cause”, Botha said.

The market is open from 1pm to 8pm on Monday, from 9am to 8pm on Tuesday and from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday. Entry is free.
