ROCK POOLS AND MOONSHINE

Port Elizabeth’s Sanccob is exploring rock pools at the Marine Drive centre in Cape Recife Nature Reserve from 8.30am to 10am on Friday December 21. Children are welcome but must be accompanie­d by their parents. On Saturday December 22, Sanccob will lead a walk to the Cape Recife Lighthouse to watch the full moon rise and the sun set. Ticket sales start at 6pm with a short welcome talk at 6.30pm before leaving at 6.40pm. Sunset is at 7.28pm and the moon rise is at 7.15pm. FOOD TRUCK FUN

The Baakens Food Truck Funday Christmas Edition is on Sunday December 23 at WERK_ from 11am to 4pm. Fifteen food trucks, tuk-tuks and trailers will sell street food. There will be live music, a craft and design market and kids’ entertainm­ent. All meals are capped at R60. Bring picnic blankets and camping chairs; dogs on leads are allowed. ATTA VICTOR MEMORIAL RACE

The Atta Victor Memorial Race is on Wednesday and Thursday December 26 and 27 and will honour the legacy of Victor, the promoter of Victory Raceway, who died in December 2016. NEW VENUE FOR BONEY M

Boney M’s original lead singer Liz Mitchell will still perform in the Bay but the concert has moved to the lawns at the Boardwalk in Summerstra­nd. Times and dates remain the same: Wednesday December 26, with doors opening at 4pm. Genesix perform at 5.30pm, ChapterTHR­EE at 6.15pm, Refentse at 7pm and Boney M at 8pm. Tickets bought for the previous venue, Nelson Mangae dela Bay Stadium, are still valid and accepted at the new venue. Cash bars and food vendors will be available.
