Preaching universal gospel of beauty

- Sarah Cohen

In a world riddled with expectations and preconceived ideas about what beauty is, it is often refreshing to be reminded that beauty is in fact individualistic.

According to South African life coach and image consultant Glynis Mackenzie, beauty is a universal attribute and includes every single one of us.

In her book Reclaiming Beauty: Look Like Your True Self, originally published 10 years ago and recently revised, she empowers women to try and reclaim their personal true beauty and live it.

Reclaiming Beauty is designed as a workbook with a wealth of guidelines, self-reflective questions, techniques, tools and tips that will support you to become an expert on yourself inside and out.

Mackenzie’s book takes style, colour, individual proportion and wardrobe planning to the next evolutionary level. You will be reminded that the purpose of your life is equally as unique to you.

In this less-than-intimidating handbook, you will find accessible information that will empower authenticity and provide you with information on how to blossom and be the best version of yourself.

She also reminds us that every item we buy has been produced from the earth’s resources and we should try not to contribute too much to the climate of rampant consumerism. ● Reclaiming Beauty: Look Like Your True Self by Glynis Mackenzie is published by Living on Purpose Publications
