AUDITIONS FOR SHAKESPEAR­E

The PE Shakespear­ean Society is holding auditions on Saturday at 2.30pm at Mannville for its March production of As You Like It. The play director Jacques Batista is hoping to cast as many young people as possible in this Shakespear­e comedy with an accent on physical theatre. No preparatio­n is necessary, but bring water. Entry to Mannville is opposite St George’s Hospital in Park Drive.

STRICTLY LANGARM

There is a “Strictly Langarm” night on Saturday at the Malabar Hall in Malabar with DJ Cedda and Herbie Jacobs on saxophone. Tickets are R40. Bring your own refreshmen­ts and there will be Robertson wine on display.

JOHNNY CASH

Centrestag­e presents its Johnny Cash tribute show Walk the Line at Old Grey on Friday and Saturday. It features Lionel Hunt with Hugo Kleinhans and Megan du Toit, as well as musicians Andrew Warneke and Kevin Mattheus. CREATIVE BLOCK
