ART AT KINDRED KITCHEN

Kindred Kitchen vegan restaurant at 14 Irvine Street, Richmond Hill, is hosting Sanelesiwe Singaphi’s Celestial Pop-up art exhibition on Thursday February 7 from 6-9pm. There will be music by Sane and Echad Miyoda. Tickets are R30 (R50 double). Inquiries: 064-012-4400.

BOOKS ON THE LAWN

The Port Elizabeth Children's Feeding Trust will have a R5 booksale on the lawn outside the Walmer Town Hall in Main Road, Walmer, on Saturday from 9am till noon.

A wide variety of fiction as well as non-fiction will be on sale at R5 per book. The money helps to feed vulnerable children in the Nelson Mandela Metro area.

VOETSAC HIKING CLUB

The Voetsac Hiking Club will take two hikes on Saturday. One group will visit Stuckens, an 8km hike rated easy, at a cost of R5. Voetsac is also visiting Maitland Mine on Saturday, an easy 13km hike and participan­ts are asked to pay R35. BIRD OUTING

Peter Hall will lead a birdwatchi­ng outing on Sunday to Yellowoods farm in the gorge of the Van Stadens River. Meet at Pick ’n Pay car park in Fourth Avenue, Newton Park, at 6am for the morning trip. Petrol money of R50 is requested. The group is likely to see raptors and forest birds.
