Top bowlers head for SA champs

The cream of the country’s bowlers will parade their skills when the annual South African Masters Singles Championships are held at Wingate Country Club in Pretoria from Friday to Sunday.

A total of 80 players have been invited to compete.

EP Masters champion Lourenza van der Merwe (Western Suburbs) will be there, while Dianne Ahrens (PEBC) will be in the veterans’ division.

Willie Killian (Walmer) is in the draw, as well as Junior Masters players Dezi Rosenblatt (The Woods) and Bronlynn Jumat (George). Rosenblatt is in the junior Proteas team to play in Hong Kong in March.

In the top Masters category, where the SA gold squad of 12 strut their stuff, Morgan Muvhango (Sables) is a top contender for the gold medal.
