Spaza shop owner shot in robbery

A spaza shop owner was shot and another robbed in two separate incidents on Friday.

Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Alwin Labans said a shop owner had been closing the shop in Mpukane Street, Walmer Township, when two men brandishing a knife and gun took his takings.

On the same night, a spaza shop owner in Kuyga Township was shot in a suspected robbery.

The owner is still in hospital. –
