-

Two people were killed in separate incidents in Port Elizabeth at the weekend.

In one incident, a 34-yearold man was shot dead outside the Q-Bar in Parliament Street, Central, at about 2.30am, police spokesperson Warrant Officer Alwin Labans said.

“Three men, including the deceased, were standing outside the club,” he said.

“According to witnesses, a blue Golf stopped in the road and one man got out.

“He walked straight up to the three and started shooting.

“Two of the friends managed to flee unscathed, while the deceased was shot twice, in the head and abdomen.”

Labans said shots were also fired at the other two suspects.

In an unrelated incident at 6.30pm on Saturday, Ruvaan Korkie, 28, was killed when he was hit on the head with a rock. – Gareth Wilson
