WHAT A MESS IN HELENVALE

My goodness what a mess Helenvale is in. Dirt and papers and used water running into Stanford Road (February 10). No! This is unacceptable. I hate to think what it looks like in the heart of the area. And the closure of the clinic? Where must the sick and elderly go? Make a plan, powers that be. No excuses! You are not looking after the poor.

LOAD-SHEDDING COSTING VOTES

I want to wish the DA luck with winning the forthcoming general election. Loadshedding is destroying as many votes for the ANC as corruption. Viva, long live the DA. Furthermore, there is a deafening silence on the rice (donated for the needy in PE). What has happened to it? Is it perhaps in storage to feed the many anticipated prisoners who are expected after all the corruption? After all, they had the gravy, now they can have the dry rice.

MR MAYOR, FIX THIS UGLY DISEASE

I fully agree with Bruce Jefferies, where are the by-laws of this municipality? The municipality is sitting with its hands folded, while the city is getting defaced with these ugly posters stuck all over? Mr mayor, what are you doing about this? The whole of Govan Mbeki is messed up with ugly flyers. I see this ugly disease is now moving to Walmer Boulevard opposite the fire station.

DISGUSTED ý Mr Bobani, as you are unable to even keep litter off the streets, perhaps you can enlighten us as to what qualifies you to be mayor of Port Elizabeth. CAROL

THANKS TO HONEST GUARD

Great service. Commendations to the Walmer Park security guard who handed in my parcel that I left in a trolley. Also much appreciated was the efficient, pleasant, rapid response from centre management.
