MOTHER EARTH GALA DINNER

The Alushi Foundation Trust is presenting a “Romance with Mother Earth” gala dinner on Thursday February 14 at the Feather Market Centre. Television personalit­y Shashi Naidoo will be a guest of honour at the event which starts at 6 for 6.30pm. Tickets are R300 and proceeds will go toward aquaponics projects in Port Elizabeth schools.

VALENTINE’S DANCE

Cheshire Home is holding a Valentine’s Dance at 7 Gomery Avenue on Friday February 15 at 7.30pm. Tickets are R25. Bring your own drinks and picnic baskets, and there will be lucky draws, as well as bring and braai facilities.

G&S CABARET

Port Elizabeth’s annual G&S Valentine’s Cabaret Only You will be at the Savoy Theatre from Thursday to Saturday February 14 to 16 at the Savoy Theatre. The show is at 7pm on Valentine’s Day, and at 7.30pm on Friday and Saturday, with a 2pm matinee on Saturday. Ticket prices range from R60 to R90.

METAL BAND

Swiss modern melodic metal band Dreamshade will perform at Port Elizabeth’s Music Kitchen on Valentine’s Day as part of their SA tour. Truth & Its Burden, PE’s All We’ve Known and Mezzanine Floor will be the supporting acts. Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm. Tickets cost R140.
