ANDREW YOUNG SAXOPHONE

British saxophone player Andrew Young will play at the Savoy Theatre in Parson’s Hill, Port Elizabeth on Friday February 22. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are R180 at Computicke­t.

ART ON TARGET

Art on Target opens its Milestone exhibition on Friday February 22 at 6pm, with work by top students Alvarito Felix, Tristan Drewry and Debra de Beer as well as a selection from its most promising students. Milestone runs until March 11 with viewing hours 10am to 5pm from Monday to Friday and from 9am to 1pm on Saturday.

BIRDLIFE TRIP

Birdlife Eastern Cape is going on an all-day outing on Saturday February 23 to Innikloof farm at Hankey, led by Andy Nixon. Meet at 6am on Saturday at the Pick ‘n’ Pay carpark on the corner of Fourth Avenue in Newton Park. Petrol will cost R90 per passenger and there is an R20 entry fee to the farm, which has a forested kloof where you will be looking for the African warbler and African finfoot.

HIKING CLUB

The Voetsac Hiking Club will take two hikes on Saturday February 23. One group will visit Maitland Reserve, for an easy forest hike of 13km. Both hikes cost R5. A second group will go to Van Stadens Dam, a moderate hike of 12km. Both hikes cost R5.

ECPO MUSIC AT THE MARKET

The Eastern Cape Philharmon­ic Orchestra will play at Algoa FM’s Music @ the Market at 5pm on Saturday February 23 and at noon on Sunday February 24 at the Feather Market Centre. Richard Cock will conduct Rocco de Villiers on piano, Magda de Vries on marimba, vocalist Asemahle Tsholoba and the Bruckner University Big Band from Austria. There will also be food trucks.
