ART ON TARGET

Art on Target is hosting its Milestone exhibition with work by top students Alvarito Felix, Tristan Drewry, Debra de Beer and a selection from its most promising students. BRYAN ADAMS TRIBUTE SHOW

Jason Oosthuizen brings the new Bryan Adams Tribute Show to the Music Kitchen on Friday March 1. The band includes Oosthuizen on drums, Clint Falconer on bass, Dean Barrett on keys, lead guitar by Werner Bosman and vocalist Henry Grundling as frontman. The show starts at 8pm, and tickets are R150 online at Quicket. The Music Kitchen is in Mangold Street, Newton Park.

CAPE RECIFE CARNIVAL

Cape Recife High School is presenting a Battle of the Bands at 6 for 6.30pm on Friday March 1 at the school in Admiralty Way, Summerstra­nd. Adults pay R25 and pupils R25, and tickets will be on sale at the gate. The Cape Recife Carnival is from 8am on Saturday March 2, and is a school fete with food such as steak rolls, hamburgers, pancakes, jaffels and more, as well as other stalls and fun and games for all.

MADIBA MEANDER

Project Nelson Mandela Bay is launching a food-themed Madiba Meander on Saturday March 2 starting at 12 noon. Starters will be served at Remo's Italian, followed by mains at Frederick & Son and dessert at Baakens Bistro , with a visit to Bridge Street Brewery for a craft beer tasting. Port Elizabeth’s St Francis Hospice is holding its summer fete on Saturday March 2 from 9.20am to 2.30pm. MUSIC FESTIVAL

Your Voice RSA is presenting the events Master of Dance, Top Ramp Model, Top Face Social Media and Globe Awards on Friday from 1pm to 8.30pm at DF Malherbe High School in 14th Avenue, Walmer, followed by a Festival of Music at the same venue on Saturday from 8am to 8pm. TRIO OF WINNERS

JUST ADD WATER

Just Add Water on Saturday March 2 at Pollok Beach in Summerstra­nd, is a fundraisin­g community surf clinic to raise money for Animal Welfare and non-profit surf initiative­s. Lessons are on the hour every hour from 7am to 11am at R200 per person, or R350 for two people, per session. Softtop surfboards and wetsuits will be provided, as well as goodie bags. There also will be a children’s yoga class, water safety talk, sandcastle building competitio­n, a family swim and a fun run.

CANSA RELAY

The Cansa Relay For Life Port Elizabeth is on Friday March 1. The annual overnight relay or “walkathon” starts at 6pm and continues until 6am on Saturday March 2 at the Fairview Sports Centre in Willow Road. At the same venue, you can book a spinning bike for an All Night Spinning Relay. Each time slot from 7pm to 5am is 45 minutes and costs R150 per entry with all proceeds to Cansa.

PARKRUNS IN PE

Take part in one of four parkruns in Port Elizabeth: PE Hobie Beach, Lady Slipper, Wells Estate and Sardinia Bay. The parkrun is a 5km fun run at 8am every Saturday, which is free and open to all but if you want a time please register for a barcode at www.parkrun.co.za. The Hobie run starts at the palm tree next to Shark Rock Pier; Sardinia Bay is at the Grass Roof in Heron Road; Lady Slipper is at Slipperfie­lds, and Wells Estate is at St George’s Strand.
