Versatile guitarist to jazz it up at Barn

-

Lwazi “Mo” Mahashe will perform at the PE Opera House’s Jazz Afro Sunday session at the Barn theatre on Sunday March 10.

The singer, songwriter and self-taught guitar player has two singles currently play-listed on several SA radio stations.

His popular singles, Akasemhle and Ndim Nawe, are crowd favourites.

Mahashe has had the good fortune of working alongside several noted musicians, both from the Bay and across SA.

They include the likes of multi-talented musician and producer Bongani “Kora X” Tulwana, Umle and Arthur Mofokate.

He is a beneficiary of the SA Arts Development Association (Saada) and has also shared the stage with Ishmael, Mzambiya and CiCi.

Mahashe was also cast as one of the lead actors in the feature film Soul Ties and has appeared in numerous adverts.

In addition, he is a cameraman for local television programme Vision for Women.

Following Mahashe’s performance this weekend, Jazz Afro Sundays at the Barn will be taking a break and will be back on April 14 for another round of live performances.

Jazz Afro Sunday is at 5pm and tickets are R70 (R50 for pensioners).
