MUSIC FESTIVAL AT MANNVILLE

The Four Winds Music Club is celebratin­g its 50th anniversar­y in 2019 with a music festival at Mannville in St George’s Park on Friday and Saturday March 22 and 23. Musicians will include acclaimed names such as Steve Newman, Marc Mayngard, Dave Goldblum, Ed Johnson and more. Tickets are R100 a day, with a discount for attending both days. Friday’s performanc­es are from 6pm and the music starts on Saturday at 3pm. There will be food trucks but picnic baskets are welcome.

MUSIC ALLA KAAP

American group All-4-One will perform at the Boardwalk on Saturday March 24 with Cape Town musicians Alistair Izobell and Sasha-Lee Davids in Music Alla Kaap. The quartet of Tony Borowiak, Delious Kennedy, Alfred Nevarez and Jamie Jones will be performing the new track Africa Arise with Davids, written by Izobell. The show starts at 6pm and tickets cost from R220 to R375.

ART IN BIRD STREET

The Visual Arts Department in the School of Music, Art and Design at NMU is showing We Are Present, an exhibition showcasing the work of staff and senior students, at the Bird Street art gallery until March 22. Gallery hours are 9am to 3pm on weekdays.
