ASHAMED OF LEADERS

Tell me what kind of people do we have in our municipality? Now suddenly blood will be spilled. What happened to intelligent discussion what a sad state.

SELECTIVE JUSTICE SYSTEM

It’s very dissapointing still to see that after 25 years of democracy our justice system is not transparent. Today you would find a justice system for the poor and rich. Those who can afford to pay for the best representation in court would always be protected by the proper application of the law. But the poor side of the society has to really on state lawyers who clearly are clueless when it comes to the pro per application of the law. The question is then is there still justice in the courts of law of SA. Or do we have to sets of criminal procedure acts. Our judiciary should seriously look into this matter as most black people are sentenced in courts without probational officers reports.

SA IN STATE OF COLLAPSE

Everything is now failing. The whole country is in a state of collapse and the country’s leaders don’t have it in them to turn it around.

SUPPORT FOR MANN

Sis on you Elroy Swart. How van you be so harsh towards Daron Mann? He has a family to support and he just stuck to what he believed was right. No one knows what someone is going through if you haven’t walked in that person’s shoes. Lee and Charlie are great, but I, and many other listeners, miss Daron dearly.

Charmaine Dersley

Without Daron Mann, Algoa Radio has lost its character and soul. The public will remember that the organisers consider it a crime to speak up for animal rights. So now we know their true colours.

Reader

Elroy Swart and those he mentioned! The two presenters are not in the same league as Mann. He actually brought out the best in them and they complemented each other. I refused to listern to Algoa and have switched over to Kingfisher.

Oom Ray

Fairly obvious where The Herald’s sympathies lie.I have only seen negative letters about Daron Mann. Nothing supportive of his stance for animals. I guess us bunny huggers are less important than big business! But big up to Zikhona Bricks for pulling their advertising.

GB

Very sad Daron Mann was removed from morning radio. Mann and his team were my morning companions. Never heard of Woodlands Dairy. Understand ‘Media Law Graduate’ knows more than I do. At 82 and with PhD Psychology I support Daron Mann’s free speech and opinion.

Reader

So Algoa FM managing director tells us that Daron Mann was axed because he upset one of their customers (read advertisers) with his comments about animal treatment in the dairy industry. And there was I thinking that media houses were independent and that their listeners/readers were their customers. Silly me! Well done Zikhona Bricks for terminating your advertising with the station. Good to know that someone out there stands on principle.

GET PAID FOR NOTHING

So once again our councilors get paid for the day and don’t do anything. Vote them all out never mind our mayor.

COLUMN IRONIC

It’s ironically sad that Prof. Jansen still laments about Afrikaans as “a language that killed” while right now under all our very noses there is slaughter among all facets of our rainbow being. Reader

COUNCILLORS HAVE NO SHAME

Mayor Bobani and his misfits no more interested in the Nelson Mandela metro or the residents. Water leakages all over the place, there’s a huge pothole at the Mount Road, Cape road intersection. Not to mention many others. One of these days we’ll be back to dirt roads. Everything is one big mess, while they fight for positions, not for the work but for the money. Go to the supermarkets and see how many municipal workers are doing their shopping. They have no shame! Disgusting to say the least.

LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY

President Cyril Ramaposa would have us believe the dire state of Eskom is not the result of an incompetent ANC government, but rather the efforts of the Gupta’s and state capture. What would he have us believe caised the collapse of our economy, the bankruptcy of the SOE’s and the current unemployment crisis? Certainly nothing to do with their transformation policies, or lack of accountability for the neglect, corruption and incompetence over the past 25 years. Davey Crockett

BACK INTO DARKNESS

Does the president really want us to believe that 1st world countries are eager to invest in a country that could not develop and build forth on that which they inherited from the previous regime, everything is falling apart. While he was overseas begging, we were plunged back into the dark. Eish! Ronnie

AMMO NOT LOST

I dont think the ammo was lost. I would rather asked how did someone sell such a lot of ammo in such a short time. L. McLeod

EXPENSIVE EDUCATION WASTED

Grey High school. Reading the SMS from the boys. Is that how they speak and write? Using words like ‘bra’ and ‘k#k’. They are obviously not benefiting from an expensive education. TEACHER

TREASURY NOT UNREASONABLE

I agree with Masala. The Treasury is not being unreasonable. Nothing is happening in NMBM. No service delivery whatsoever. The best is for the Metro to go under administration and reelection. Resident

SUFFERING AT HANDS OF ANC

I wish that this ANC had never come into power. These lunatics were hungry for long, now they enrich themselves by being corrupt and play with our taxes. Now the whole country has to suffer because of these greedy so called comrades. My skin is brown but I wish that it was better.
