Easing SA’s anxiety through music
Daniel Baron’s new single shares soothing message
Over the past few weeks, SA pop singer Daniel Baron’s latest single, All I See, has been climbing music charts around the country.
Now the singer has teamed up with some famous faces to record and release the official music video to the track.
The single, which was released on the day SA went into lockdown, touches on the turbulent state of the world before alluding to how love can heal all — a message that has been resonating with audiences countrywide.
“I wrote All I See to be a beacon of light in these difficult times that we’re going through as a planet,” Baron said.
“It’s all about coming together as one big family and looking at the positives we have — and that’s each other.
“So, I decided to ask some fans and friends to send in clips of them jamming to the song for the music video, and it all came together so beautifully.”
Some of the familiar faces in the video include Hugo Ludik, Arthur Baron (Daniel’s father), Aston Wylie, Marc Lottering, Ross Learmonth, Mark Stent, Jason Greer, Toni Mngoma, Kyle Grant, Schalk Bezuidenhout, Chris Werge, Jeanique, Mmasea PeTje and Brent Lindeque.
There is even an appearance from Baron’s newborn son, Cruz.
“I want this song to be a symbol of hope, and perhaps something to ease the minds of those who hear it through these crazy and difficult times that our world is going through,” Baron said.
“It’s about how, even in the midst of what feels like doomsday, when I look into the eyes of my loved ones I am fuelled with hope for our lives and for the rest of the world.
“When love is present, the apocalyptic curtain falls and the world immediately feels like a heaven on earth,” Baron said.
All I See is the second single off Baron’s upcoming fourth studio album, City Of God and
The Jungle Below, which is expected to be released later this year . All I See is available on digital music platforms.
