With all the top-class racing action on Saturday, punters are not only in for a Thoroughbred spectacle, they will also have more than one opportunity to strike it rich.

Turffontein hosts the Gauteng Classic Day, where the Grade 2 World Sports Betting SA Classic and Grade 2 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic will take centre stage

These two races are the second leg of the WSB SA Triple Crown and the Wilgerbosdrift Triple Tiara respectively, where both Malmoos and War Of Athena will be looking to set themselves up for arguably the biggest racing accolade in the country.

A Pick 6 carryover of R1million will be added to the pool, which is likely to exceed R5 million.

Two other feature races will be contested on the day – the Grade 2 Gorongoza Hawaii Stakes as well as the Listed Aquanaut Handicap.

The final fields for Classic Day will be finalised this afternoon and will be available for closer scrutiny on tabonline.co.za.

In Dubai, the Dubai World Cup Carnival 2021 is nearing its pinnacle, with what is known as Super Saturday being contested this weekend.

This is the major prep for Dubai World Cup day and horses will be competing over seven races for a slice of the R25-million in stakes money on the day.

Super Saturday allows trainers to put the finishing touches to their equine stars before appearing on racing’s biggest stage Dubai World Cup day.

There is also an eightrace meeting at Kenilworth on Saturday.

All 25 these races – and more – will be broadcast live on Tellytrack on channel 249 on DStv.
