St Andrew ’ s College experienced another challenging yet enjoyable encounter when they came up against the Marlow Agricultural tennis team at the weekend.

Anticipating strong opposition, the St Andrew’s players faced some unexpected drop shots during the doubles matches.

A few minor errors by the Makhanda players resulted in a narrow defeat by just two games.

The single matches were entertaining and both teams played with tenacity and persisted until the final points.

This fixture is always characterised by good sportsmanship and remains a highlight on the St Andrew’s tennis calendar.

Despite the scorching heat on a long and humid day in Gqeberha, the basketball teams from St Andrew’s eagerly accepted the challenge of facing off against Grey High at the Grey campus.

The players showcased their talent and determination, delivering impressive performances while providing an enjoyable display of basketball.

The U16s took part in a mini festival at Grey, featuring matches against Grey High, Kingswood College, and Wynberg Boys’ High.

This festival served as a valuable opportunity to prepare them for the upcoming tournament at St Stithians College next week.

The competition was fierce and the boys rose to the occasion admirably.

The concluding event was the exhilarating first team game against Grey.

The match was tightly contested, with both teams displaying exceptional skill and determination.

However, it was Grey who emerged victorious, clinching the win by just four points through their clinical execution in the decisive moments of the game.

The St Andrew ’ s College players demonstrated their dedication and sportsmanship, and the first team battle was a testament to the competitive spirit between the schools.
