‘I am excited to experience the beautiful Garden Route landscape, the warmth of the people there and just to witness everyone having a blast at my show’

UK-born rock singer and guitarist Steve Graham will be bringing his one-man show, Monsters of Rock, to Mossel Bay and Plettenberg Bay at the weekend.

While the seasoned performer, who now lives in KwaZulu-Natal, has been in the music industry for more than 25 years, he will be performing in Plett for the first time on Saturday.

Despite having travelled the world, performing alongside music greats such as Sting, Bryan Adams, Tina Turner, U2 and more, he said he was excited to bring his sounds to the Garden Route.

He will perform classic rock hits backed virtually by The Steven Graham Band, along with stunning visuals.

“I am excited to experience the beautiful Garden Route landscape, the warmth of the people there and just to witness everyone having a blast at my show,” he said.

Through the tour, Graham said he hoped to broaden his fan base.

With his ability to capture an audience with his rhythmic guitar skills and talent in taking them on a musical journey, this should be an easy feat.

His repertoire of songs for the tour will take audiences through the years he spent performing with some of the biggest rock legends of all time.

“I am a perfectionist when it comes to this,” he said.

Events manager Pat Martin said Graham’s incredible talent and history of touring the world had put him on the map as a pedigreed artist.

What set him apart was that he was not only a talented musician but a brilliant stage performer who captivated his audiences.

“Be ready to be rocked to the core.

“His strapline isn’t ‘Steve Graham Rocks’ for nothing.

“Steve gives 110% with each and every performance and it matters to him that the crowd enjoys the show,” Martin said.

The Plett show will take place at MacFee Shop DU10 in Beacon Way at the Market Square Shopping Centre from 8pm on Saturday.

Tickets cost R200 and the show is only open to children older than seven.

In Mossel Bay, he will perform at ReedValley Farm on Friday from 8pm.

Entrance to the show costs R327.

Graham said he fell in love with SA audiences because they knew how to have a good time.

“I want to see people enjoy themselves as I perform all the songs I grew up with.

“It’s so much more than just a ‘normal’ gig and it feeds my soul seeing people enjoy my musical ability,” he said.

Tickets are available via the Steve Graham Monsters of Rock website.
