JUST because Saturday’s horses have run, this does not mean Sunday should see an end to the fun. Durban’s music scene offers a range of genres from rhythm and blues to jazz, vernacular Indian songs to deep house.
Here’s a glance at what’s on offer. 1 Roots rock reggae Sundays, featuring the Meditators and DJs Chalice and Moose, from noon to 8pm at Ground Zero, 120 Stella Road, Hillary. A bring and braai family fun day. Salads and rolls are provided. Entrance R30; children under 12 free. 2 Mama’s Jus’ Jazzin will host a jazz night with a number of bands as well as a variety of food, including shisa nyama, from 4pm at 210 Northway, Durban North. 3 Deep house music at the New York Restaurant at 101 Innes Road, Morningside.
