Man’s body found

THE body of a 19-year-old man who disappeared while swimming on a non-bathing beach at eMdloti was retrieved from the waves yesterday after a local spotted it in the surf.

Paul Hertz, operations manager for IPSS Medical Rescue, said members of the man’s family had identified him by his tattoos.

The rescue service had been involved in the search for Ryland Moses since Sunday when he and a companion had got into trouble while swimming. His companion made it to shore.

Police spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Thulani Zwane said Moses was on holiday from Gauteng. – Staff reporter
