BABES WODUMO, SINGER

On New Year’s Eve I will be working. I have about four gigs.

The most memorable moment of 2016 was the way my song ( Wololo) took off, the way people received my song has truly changed my life.

I hope that in 2017 my album ( Gqom Queen Vol 1) reaches double platinum.

That would make me very happy and I hope my career moves to greater heights, I’m very grateful for all the support I get.

KESHAV MAHARAJ, PROTEAS

Of course the biggest highlight of my year was receiving my cap for my debut with the Proteas. I will have a quiet festive season with family and friends because I will be playing over this period.

My new year’s resolution is to keep improving my performance and to be a role model for youngsters and aspiring cricketers.

MINNIE DLAMINI, ACTRESS AND PRESENTER I’ll be in Cape Town soaking up the sun, I decided to change plans and be away from Durban this year. My most memorable moment of 2016 was hosting the Africa Magic Viewers’ choice awards and the Saftas in less than two weeks – it was incredible and such honours in my career.

And personally definitely getting engaged. I hope 2017 will to be better than 2016 in every way possible. KHAYA ZONDO, DOLPHINS

Captaining the Dolphins was definitely my highlight. This year was a year of mixed emotions, but it has picked up in the last six months. As to my new year’s resolution’s, I hope I have a better year than 2016.

I will be spending new year with family and friends and

keeping it simple.

NTANDOYENKOSI KUNENE, MISS SA 2016

At the start of 2016 I had a couple of resolutions, but my main one was winning Miss South Africa. I’ve had such a fulfilling year from all aspects of life. The year 2017 is for growth, learning, using the networks I made as Miss South Africa to navigate the next step of my life and a whole lot of adventure. I can only tell you so much.

Next year is going to be exciting. I am going to the Philippines for Miss Universe next month and I look forward to ending my reign with a bang.

EMTEE, RAPPER

My most memorable moments of 2016 include my album Avery going platinum, winning an MTV award, buying a new car, building a house, being the most awarded artist of the year in South Africa, working with Trey Songz and being nominated for a BET Award.

I would have loved to have spent new year with my family, but I have two shows to travel to.

In 2017 I will release more music. Everything I did this year will be triple next year.

KHULI CHANA, RAPPER

I’d like to reposition myself as a leader in the music business and to unearth talent and develop it.

Most important, I’d like to travel more and create more amazing memories with my family.

PEARL THUSI, ACTRESS, MODEL, RADIO AND TV PERSONALITY

I plan to have a low key new year with my family and loved ones. So much has happened for me in my personal life and in my career.

I got engaged to the man of my dreams and got the opportunity to work in my favourite city in an international production, among other things.

For me, 2016 was about my dreams finally coming true.

I feel blessed. I don’t do new year’s resolutions. Resolutions for me are made when and if necessary throughout the course of a year. When you need to change something in your life, action must be taken there and then. I’m all about the now.

LIESL LAURIE, FORMER MISS SOUTH AFRICA

I’ll be counting down to midnight in Jamaica. I’m very excited. My most memorable moment of 2016 was when I was announced as the ambassador for Vichy, and being a bridesmaid and witnessing my best friend getting married.

I don’t make new year’s resolutions because I live a consistent life, which God guides.

JESSICA NKOSI, ACTRESS AND PRESENTER

I plan to spend new year in Richards Bay at “The Last Dance” with my entire family and close friends.

Presenting Our Perfect Wedding was definitely the most memorable part of my year. It was me stepping out of my comfort zone of acting, and it was incredible.

I have enjoyed every moment, every experience, every encounter. In 2017, I want to be bigger and bolder, to be challenged as an actor/ presenter in new roles. Do what makes me happy.

CRAIG URBANI, ACTOR

I sing and perform in a twopiece band, so I’m normally working on New Year’s Eve! This year I am spending it with my best friends who will be back from London for a week to visit family and friends. My memorable moment of 2016 was when I got the phone call to say that I had got the part in Scandal.

It was literally an answer to a prayer. Gratitude!

My new year resolutions include to be more present and live in the moment. And drink less Coke Zero.

KATLEGO MOHOADUBA, ACTRESS

What I’m looking forward to in 2017 is more work opportunities around my acting career and solidifying my skills as an actress.

I am looking forward to new business ventures. Its a new year, so new opportunities, blessings and spiritual growth.

JACK PAROW

I actually don’t like making new year’s resolutions. Too much pressure and it feels like I’m telling myself what to do, and I don’t like being told what to do. Ha ha ha.

In 2017 I’m starting my new album, so I guess that’s sort of a resolution.

There is only one on the list. So it should be pretty easy… But hard work and dedication and brandy and Coke usually works.

JIMMY NEVIS, SINGER

I’m looking forward to travelling more across the globe. I want to make time to learn more from others.
