To enter, visit www. laluciamall.co.za and tell us in no more than 300 words how your partner proposed to you. Please include a photo.

Six lucky couples will win wedding prizes to the value of R75 000.

On February 12, entrants need to be at La Lucia Mall, Centre Court, at 2pm, where we will announce our six winning couples.

These couples will go into a lucky draw for the main prize – a R40 000 wedding at Meander Manor in Ballito. Each couple is guaranteed a prize from one of the following: a wedding photo shoot with Stephen Railton Photography to the value of R10 000, décor from A-Z to a total of R10 000, a honeymoon to Montusi Mountain Lodge in the Drakesnberg valued at R7 450, a R5 000 Debonair Suit Hire voucher, or a R3 500 airbrush make-over for your wedding day from Kiss and Make-up. There will also be some surprise give-aways.

The Independent on Saturday spoke to Durban bridal gown designers McCarthy Wolf and Hanrie Lues, who’ll be showcasing designs at the fair.

Wolf said brides were slowly moving away from traditional style. Lues thought “brides still love the sensual silhouette of the mermaid style, as well as the romantic whimsy of a chiffon skirt. Lace is a timeless favourite and beadwork seems to be more subtle”.
