Hopefully full might of the law takes its course now

- From: MICHAEL IVAN PETERS

I WOULD like to express my disgust regarding the recent incident where a man was severely beaten by a group of men at an illegal drag racing scene.

The group of men in question should be charged for this incident for displaying this thuggish behaviour in public. Would they have attacked that man if he was a negligent disobedient taxi driver?

No, I don’t think so because they know what would happen to them. They took advantage of an individual who was on his own. They swore at him, shoved him around and then eventually punched and kicked him. Like a pack of lions attacking a buck and that we can understand in nature.

These so called plastic gangsters, who only have their pimped motor vehicles to show, have nothing else to contribute to society, except getting involved in fighting crime in our suburbs and residential areas. I wish they would fight criminals the way they did this man.

I’m sure their mothers and girlfriends must be proud of them getting involved in illegal activities and displaying antisocial behaviour traits in public.

These idiots need to be shamed and brought to book. From: DHAYALAN MOODLEY Mobeni Heights Thank you IOS for your front page article “Beaten driver comes forward.” This has been the most talked about article in all social circles.

It is absolutely sad for Kuban Pather to be beaten so severely by illegal drag racers. This type of brutality is not called for and the perpetrators must be punished.

I hope and pray the full might of the law takes its course and justice must be served.

When the law fails to protect its citizens then a complete break down of society begins. Rest assured the IOS will give us updated and more information as the perpetrators are arrested.

?? ?? UNACCEPTABLE: Readers are horrified at the treatment meted out to Kuban Pather as reported in the IOS last week, in a drag racing incident gone very wrong.
