‘Scoundrel Zuma’ has failed SA as a leader

- From: ISMAIL MOOLLA

PRESIDENT Jacob Zuma condemned the chaotic scenes in Parliament recently, saying it did not reflect the character of the country.

How right Zuma is. But, then neither the EFF nor Zuma’s character reflect South Africa.

After the EFF was removed from Parliament, all Zuma did was show his delight, laughing with his famous “heh, heh, heh”, sneering and giggling. He undoubtedly did not show leadership – it was a very shameful show on his part. He lacks dignity.

What about Zuma’s shameless character over the Nkandla saga and his suspicious dealings with the Gupta brothers? And why does he not speak of the charges pending against him?

Zuma failed to be a leader. He is shielded in and outside Parliament by the ANC comrades who don’t want him to step down.

Cope leader Mosiuoa Lekota said it all: “Zuma is a scoundrel.”

Zuma needs to do some soulsearching if he truly is to be a leader who reflects the character of South Africa.
