SAFETY FIRST

“Road safety is everyone’s concern” was the message for pupils at Mayville Primary School this week, as part of eThekwini municipality’s road safety summit.

The summit was held by the Road Safety and Transportation Systems Learning Exchange with the UN Training and Research division and the Municipal Institute of Learning. The aim was to discuss factors that impact on safety and best practices and measures to address them.

According to the World Health Organisation, road traffic injuries claim more than 1.2 million lives each year.
