Suspect in court

A MAN arrested on Wednesday in connection with the murder of Constable Joseph Mondli Chiliza, appeared before the Nsimbini Magistrate Court in KwaZulu-Natal yesterday.

The Hawks said he was arrested by Durban Organised Crime Unit and King Shaka International Airport police members.

“Chiliza was killed on his way to work on February 28. The suspects made off with his service pistol.”

The 29-year-old will appear again on Thursday. – ANA
