Attacker killed

MOSCOW: A man believed to be a member of a neoNazi group opened fire at an intelligen­ce agency office in the far-eastern Russian city of Khabarovsk yesterday, killing an officer and a civilian.

The attack took place in the waiting area of an office of Russia’s Federal Security Service, the intelligen­ce agency that took over from the Soviet KGB. The gunman, identified as 18-year-old AV Konev, was killed at the scene, state media reported.
