Customs seize 7kg rhino horn

THE South African Revenue Service’s (Sars) customs unit seized over 7kg in rhino horn, which was declared as tea bags, at OR Tambo International Airport, Sars said in a statement yesterday.

The discovery was made on Wednesday when the shipment was put through the scanning process by customs officials.

The shipment was destined for Hong Kong via Doha in Qatar. – ANA
