Ebola outbreak

KINSHASA: A race against the clock has begun to contain an outbreak of Ebola in the northern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), says the World Health Organisation said.

Twenty cases have been reported in the DRC’s Bas Uele province, near the border with the Central African Republic. Two cases have been confirmed and three people have died.

Signs of the disease were first noticed early this month.
