What about our doctors?

- From: PAMELA WILLIAMS

I WISH to add to the protests and letters dealing with the poor state of health care in our country.

My grandson graduated as a medical doctor in 2016, after seven years of long, hard, expensive study. He has still not been placed at a hospital for his internship.

When I’ve asked, many have said they know people in the same situation. I hate to think of how many graduates are in this position. I think this is a disgrace when we are so short of qualified doctors and taxpayers’ money is spent on frivolous entertainment and exorbitant salaries of government employees.

People need to be held accountable so that the above situation can be remedied.
