Nasal spray to stop urinating
DOCTORS have developed a nasal spray to stop regular trips to the loo.
The spray has been developed for nocturia, an uncontrollable urge to urinate at night.
The spray contains desmopressin, a drug that imitates a natural hormone that increases absorption of liquid by the kidneys and slows urine production.
Desmopressin is already used as a tablet to treat severe bed wetting in children, and a spray version is licensed for MS patients, but this new spray could be available for thousands more and is expected to be available in the next year or two. – Daily Mail
