WELCOME to Saturday Live, our new 12-page lifestyle and entertainm­ent supplement to encourage you to ditch the chores and reclaim your Saturdays for fun.

We have packed all your favourites into Saturday Live, but that’s not all: there are many more enticing, interestin­g and useful items to help you live your Saturdays to the full.

Here’s where to find your must-have Saturday treat, and a guide to your new Saturdays:

Your Stars, by new contributo­r Barbara Kisilev, is on Page 2, as is the one thing you can’t miss doing in Durban today. This Saturday it’s is the Ballito Pro, which has been pumping all week, and comes to a climax today. You can win tickets to Disney on Ice, and actress Maeshni Naicker shares her favourite Durban delights.

Crossword puzzles and What’s On are on Page 8. Crossword puzzle winners and the bridge column and results are on Page 8 of the main section.

Comics and a kids’ gardening corner appear on Page 9 of Saturday Live.

The movie review is on Page 5 with what’s on circuit and film news snippets. New additions are: On Page 3 are celebrity interviews: this week tell you how Bontle Modiselle will fill Boity Thulo’s dancing shoes in the e.tv music show Club 808, and Somizi Mhlongo is Living the Dream on Mzansi Magic and in his tell-all memoir.

On page 7, fashion puts on a show with tips on how to use accessorie­s for a bold look.

On Page 12 this week, we show you some of the glamorous people who popped in to the Vodacom Durban July marquee where news of the first issue of Saturday Live was revealed.
