THE best part about Halloween cocktails is the delivery and garnish, not to mention the names. I really enjoy the flavour and the fear instilled in my guests when I describe and then serve the Corpse Reviver. The Bloody Burning Mojito has some great theatrics that really draw in the customers, and it tastes amazing, too. CORPSE REVIVER 031 Based on an old classic recipe with a Distillery 031 twist. This cocktail is a pick-me-up and designed to revive you from the dead. 25ml Durban Dry Gin 15ml Vanilla & Baobab Aperitif 2 dashes Angostura bitters 50ml Freshly squeezed lemon juice 25ml White sugar syrup 1:2 25ml Chilled water 5ml Ancestors Absinthe

Rim a well-chilled martini glass with Angostura bitters. Shake all ingredients and fine strain into the martini glass. Garnish with a dry ice pellet to create smoke and serve.

Note: Do not drink until the smoke stops bubbling. Dry ice is dangerous and not to be consumed. BLOODY BURNING MOJITO A strawberry mojito with a little extra flair added using fire and overproof rum 40ml White Rum (Bacardi white) 25ml Monin Strawberry Puree 8 Lime wedges 4 Fresh mint leaves 10ml Sugar syrup 1:2 15ml High Alcohol Rum (Stroh Rum) 1 Fresh strawberry halved 1 Large fresh strawberry hollowed out like a small cup 1 Mint sprig for garnish

Muddle lime and mint in a shaker tin. Add sugar syrup, white rum, strawberry halves and ice. Shake and pour into a large highball glass. Add ice if necessary to reach the top. Pour strawberry puree over the top of the drink. Fill the hollowed out strawberry with Stroh Rum and place on top of the drink. Garnish with the mint sprig. Set the Stroh Rum on fire and serve.

Note: Do not drink until the fire is out.
