Tafta birthday golf challenge

TAFTA will be hosting a 60th birthday fundraisin­g Golf Day Challenge at Durban Country Club on May 10.

The tournament, which will be a 4-ball format, tees off at 10am and entrance fee of R1 000 a player includes a luxury goodie bag, lunch, greens fees, cart fees, as well as an exciting end to the day with a celebrity hosted auction at a glamorous dinner.

Prizes promise to be extravagan­t with sponsors helping to make the event memorable for its golfing supporters. Included in the line-up are three place prizes, a longest drive prize, closest to pin prize, surprise auction envelope prizes, a lucky draw and more..

All proceeds go towards Tafta’s hot meal provision service, Meals on Wheels.

“Meals on Wheels provides prepared meals, at Tafta homes and in the community, for those who are housebound or who no longer can cook for themselves.

“They are ready-to-eat meals, which are convenient­ly delivered and provide them with the essential nourishmen­t required.

“We are calling on communitie­s and corporates to help us extend our reach to those who are constantly in need of our care by participat­ing at the golf event or through sponsorshi­ps,” said Tafta’s income developmen­t, marketing and public relations manager, Gail Samuels.
