New adventures await for fearless Stuart

MOTUL South Africa is proud to introduce off-road motorcycle and global adventurer, Stuart Gregory, pictured, as their new PowerSport Ambassador. Stuart’s inspiring refusal to be daunted by some of the world’s toughest events makes him the perfect match for a brand that has a history of fearless innovation.

Stuart joins Motul South Africa’s existing PowerSport Ambassadors: enduro and extreme trails rider Brian Capper, motocross riders Nanda Clowes and David Goosen, powerboater Reggie Roets and junior enduro rider Tristan Hedgcock.

For his first assignment as a Motul South Africa Ambassador, Gregory will be taking on the Mother of Hard Enduro as he tackles the 51st edition of the iconic Motul Roof of Africa, taking place in the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho from Wednesday to Saturday next week.

The macadamia nut farmer from Port Edward is no stranger to the event and this year sees him take on his 12th Roof of Africa, which is no mean feat.

The fact that two-thirds of this year’s route has never featured in the event before is unlikely to faze an offroad rider who’s competed in some of the toughest enduro events in the world including:

12 South African National Enduro Championships.

Bronze finish in the ISDE (International Six Day Enduro) – Germany.

Silver finish Red Bull Romaniacs – Romania.

11th in the Amageza Rally – South Africa.

The 2018 Motul Roof of Africa promises to be a superb event for riders and spectators alike, but for Gregory, it is only the first of two incredible experiences for him spaced only one month apart.

Participating in The Roof will be exactly the preparation that Gregory needs for the even greater challenge that awaits him in January in Peru, when he will aim to finish The Originals by Motul class at the Dakar Rally 2019.

“Whether in Southern Africa or South America, I’m excited to have the chance to push myself to the limits by tackling the toughest terrain,” he says.
