Bruno Mars to sing at MTV awards

-

BRUNO Mars, a three-time winner at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs), is scheduled to perform his new hit single, 24K Magic, at this year’s awards ceremony, to be shown live on DStv’s MTV (channel 130) next month.

The 2016 EMAs will be televised live on MTV from the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam at 9pm on Sunday, November 6.

The performance will mark Mars’s third EMA performance as he returns to the show in the Netherlands, following his performance of Gorilla at the 2013 MTV EMAs in Amsterdam.

The catchy 24K Magic is the lead single from Mars’s third studio album of the same title, and his first piece of solo music in nearly four years.

The singer unveiled the track and music video worldwide on October 7, announcing that the album containing it would be released globally on November 18.

The 11-time EMA nominee and winner of best song in 2011 snagged his first five number 1 Billboard singles in less time than any artist since Elvis Presley.

Mars is the first artist unveiled from the show’s star-studded performer line-up.

Additional performers, as well as presenters, will be announced soon.

“We’re thrilled to announce Bruno’s return to EMAs and can’t imagine a more appropriate way to jump-start our biggest night of the year,” said Bruce Gillmer, a spokesman for the MTV EMAs.

“Many more surprises are to follow,” he added. – Goodlife Reporter
