Rapist gets 20 years jail

A 34-YEAR-OLD man has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment for rape.

Clement Molemisi was sentenced at the Mogwase Regional Court, North West province, on Wednesday.

He raped a 30-year-old woman in Mogwase on April 1, 2014, while she was walking home from a party.

He was arrested on May 12, 2014.

The woman was hit with a stone on her forehead, threatened with a knife and raped.

North West police said Molemisi had previously served eight years imprisonment on three counts of rape. – ANA
