The Mercury incorrectly reported in an article on Green Desks on page 3 of yesterday’s newspaper that Northdale Primary School in Pietermaritzburg had received a cash rebate of R70 000 from the Wildlands Trust for waste recycling collections last year.

In fact, the school received a R17 000 rebate. The error is regretted. ●

In our story yesterday, ‘Phat Joe off the hook but East Coast Radio lashed’, a response was incorrectly attributed to ECR spokeswoman Anisa Ussuph, instead of programming manager Zane Derbyshire. The Mercury apologises for the error. ●
