The Midlands set to rock
THE Mill Sessions are bringing rock back to the Midlands in the form of sixpiece ensemble, The Dave Matthews Tribute Band at Midlands Forest Lodge in Caversham on Sunday, June 11.
Also performing at the gig will be Rowan Stuart and Pillar Box Red, who will bring a folk indie-pop feel to the mix.
The Dave Matthews Tribute Band will delight even the most ardent fan. Over the last 10 years, the band has featured a plethora of musicians and performed on many different stages. The 2017 line-up includes: Pieter Barnard (vocals); Gideon Meintjes (drums); Garth de Meillon (bass); Leon Van der Berg (guitars); Raziela Kosterman (violin); and Karin Groenewald (saxophones).
Following sell-out performances at The Atterbury Theatre and The Barnyard in Pretoria they are now touring with gigs planned in the KwaZuluNatal Midlands, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. For the Caversham show they will be playing tunes from all eight Dave Matthews studio albums
Opening the show will be Pillar Box Red. The band, which has performed at the Michaelhouse Rock Concert for two years in a row, are guaranteed to rock your socks off!
