DURBAN audiences are set to enjoy an evening of belly laughs at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre on Monday at 7.30pm. Funny men John Vlismas, Aaron McIlroy and Jem Atkins join forces for a good cause – to help contribute towards medical expenses for theatre all-rounder Themi Venturas.

Vlismas and McIlroy have been making people laugh for decades. They’re old friends and have something else in common – both did extensive work early in their careers with the legendary Venturas, who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Many people have no idea how funny it is when performers share horror stories with one another, and now you have the chance to hear it straight from the source.

It promises to be a night to remember, with hilarious comedy and an intimate, honest and meaningful look behind the curtain at what the show looks like from the other side.

Vlismas, McIIroy and Atkins will be doing only one show in honour of their friend, and all the money they raise will go to his medical costs.

Tickets are R225, and advance booking is possible through Computicket, who are waiving all commission costs.

Call 0861 915 8000 or visit www.computicket. com, or buy tickets directly at any Checkers Money Market counter. There will also be door sales on the night, subject to availability.
