SUSPECTED HEROIN DEALERS IN COURT

TWO alleged drug dealers, aged 42 and 46, were expected to appear in the Scottsburgh Magistrate’s Court yesterday.

Police spokesperson Captain Simphiwe Mhlongo said the men were arrested on Wednesday during a joint operation by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (Hawks), Crime Intelligence and Durban metro police.

Police seized 12 000 heroin capsules worth R750000 during a raid on the suspects’ premises.

Before this arrest, the team arrested Kuben Moodley, 38, for dealing in drugs in Chatsworth. “He was in possession of 3 200 heroin capsules worth R96000,” Mhlongo said.

He was expected to apply for bail in the Chatsworth Magistrate’s Court today. |
