‘EFF USING STRIKE TO DRIVE ITS AGENDA’
THE City of Cape Town has accused the EFF of masterminding the unprotected MyCiTi strike in which two female bus drivers were held hostage, passengers chased from stations and buses stoned this week.
The strikes turned violent on Wednesday morning when drivers who had reported for duty were forced out of buses on their routes and their bus keys were taken by protesters.
“The EFF is using the unprotected strike to drive its political agenda – a deplorable agenda centred on chaos, violence, disruption, sabotage and self-interest,” said the city. The EFF in the Western Cape failed to respond to questions sent to it. | African News Agency (ANA)
