■ ROCKWOOD THEATRE: take a musical journey of epic proportion­s in the production A Rocking World Tour, which runs until November 4. Audiences can expect music from rockers AC/DC and Midnight Oil to Kylie Minogue, Bhangra and Bollywood hits. The venue opens at 6.30pm for the dinner service, with the show starting at 8pm on Thursdays to Saturdays. The venue is open at 2pm on Sundays. ■ PLAYHOUSE THEATRE: the Community Arts Festival runs at the Playhouse until Saturday, showcasing a wealth of community-based performing arts projects, including a mix of dramas, musicals and dance. Also on the roster are masterclas­ses and workshops by industry experts, while Sundowner Concerts as well as a vibrant arts and crafts exhibition­s add to the buzz. ■ ROY COUZENS THEATRE – WESTVILLE BOYS HIGH: BellyFusio­n’s annual show, Greatest Hits, takes place on Saturday from 7pm. There will be a spectacula­r fusion of dance styles from hip hop to classical, from belly dance to Bollywood, from hula dance to Latin American, danced to popular hits. BellyFusio­n will donate funds from their show to the Kevin Richardson Foundation (the lion whisperer). The Foundation’s aim is to secure land for Africa’s iconic lion. ■ RHUMBELOW THEATRE, UMBILO: The show Hot August Night featuring the music of Neil Diamond performed by Barry Thomson and The Reals runs at the Rhumbelow Theatre in Umbilo. With 38 songs in the Top 10 on the Billboard Adult Contempora­ry charts, Diamond has sold more than 125 million albums worldwide, making him one of the best-selling musicians of all time. Paying respect to the music of this legendary artist composer and performer are Durban’s own tribute band The Reals. The show runs from Friday to Sunday.
