Burnt while trying to smoke bees out of tree
A STANGER man sustained severe burns to his body this week after accidentally setting himself on fire while trying to smoke out bees from a garden tree.
The spokesperson for IPSS Medical Rescue, Paul Herbst, said: “Upon arrival, paramedics found an adult male with extensive burns to his upper body.”
It was reported that the man had been trying to smoke bees out of a tree when they began to sting him.
Herbst said that in an attempt to evade the swarm, the man had inadvertently ignited an accelerant.
“He was stabilised at the scene and transported to a medical facility,” Herbst said.
