‘We depend on caregivers’
“WE are in wheelchairs and we depend on caregivers to assist us. If the staff is reduced, it will affect us because we will not have the same quality of care we are currently receiving. Staff have become like family to us as disabled people,” said Rowan Ponnusamy of Cheshire Homes.
Shirley Samuels said the staff cuts were unfair when communities were affected by many social ills.
