Quorn questions
Please note that some Quorn products have egg whites in their ingredients. I have noted the recipes in the POST vegetarian supplement, August 15-18 edition. I advise consumers to always read the ingredient labels. It is not fair to mislead a Hindu who is consuming a vegetarian diet for religious reasons. It is a sin.
The company manufacturing Quorn should note the inclusion of egg whites in bold letters or in their advertising, instead of the tiny writing under ingredients.

Quorn responds: In short, Quorn has a Vegetarian and also a Vegan range.
The Vegetarian (our core range) consist of 9 skus (units) which do contain egg as the binding agent.
The Vegan range consists of four products, and does not contain any egg or diary and uses a potato starch as the binding agent.
The packs are different but unfortunately consumers do get confused.
